Sound and Movement
Providing Everything You Need

Sound Bath
During a sound bath, participants are "bathed" in sound waves produced by a myriad of instruments. During this meditative experience participants lay on the ground and utilize yoga mats, bolsters and blankets for comfort. The sound waves are generated by various healing instruments such as singing bowls, gongs, percussion instruments, chimes, rattles, tuning forks, and wind instruments.
Sound baths are offered in conjunction with Sheri Henderson of Sound and Movement Collective and Brian Gibbs, co-owner of Embodied Healing Solutions.
Mentorship is available for those interested in sound bath facilitation.
Tibetan Sound Bowls
Tibetan sound bowl healing is an ancient Tibetan healing technique using sacred sound instruments, working with energy and resonance, to awaken the inner healer dwelling within each of us.
Sound healing sessions provide a supportive space, allowing the client to reach a deep state of relaxation while Tibetan singing bowls, along with other sacred sound instruments, are placed on or around the body. The bowls, when played, create sympathetic resonance which creates harmonics that allows healing to begin through the process of entrainment. Entrainment is when the body falls into a vibrational rhythm with the frequency of the bowls. As Diane Mandle explains, “Healing through sound is a movement from disharmony to harmony, a spiritual awakening with a profound impact on the physical body. As we awaken and our perspective shifts, a domino effect ensues that also shifts our vibration and our cellular makeup.” The body is made up predominantly of water which is a powerful transmitter of sound; therefore, placing the bowls directly on the body increases their effectiveness.

Yoga
Connecting mind with body, breath with movement and self with others.
Vinyasa is a style of Hatha yoga that joins breath to movement in order to create a steady internal rhythm throughout the practice. This is achieved by linking physical postures, or asanas, together with inhales and exhales. Guided in silence or background music may be used.
Yin Yoga/Restorative is a practice where poses are held at length to open the entire body. This practice harnesses the natural healing power of the body to rejuvenate and repair the area of focus. Props such as blankets and bolsters are utilized for comfort and support. Sound instruments may be used during practice.
Yoga Nidra is a form of guided meditation where the goal is to move the practitioner into a deep state of conscious relaxation. The practitioner moves into conscious awareness sleep where a pendulation between dreaming and not dreaming takes place. It is practiced lying down with blankets and bolsters for comfort. Yoga Nidra is also known as “yogic sleep” or “effortless relaxation.” Sound instruments may be used during the practice.
